Digital Health Literacy and Policy Hub

A transatlantic initiative of the Nanopoulos Foundation

The Digital Health Literacy and Policy Hub initiative, advances digital health literacy through expert collaboration, evidence informed research, and responsible policy development.

Our work brings together governance insight, user perspectives, and practical implementation.

Our goal is to support trustworthy and fair digital health ecosystems accessible for all.

“After millions of years, humans are finally evolving not only as a species, i.e. sapiens, but as a genus too. The Metanthropos (post-human) is ante portas.”

Dimitri Nanopoulos

Distinguished Professor Em.Texas A&M University, NYU and CERN visiting researcher

The Hub strengthens understanding of digital health tools and fosters environments where innovation can advance responsibly.

Our purpose is to ensure that digital transformation in health is driven by knowledge, transparency, and fairness.

We work hard to ensure that technology supports the well-being of people and communities across global contexts.

Our work centers on three core pillars that inform all initiatives, partnerships, and learning efforts:

Collaboration across scientific, policy, technology, and community domains

Literacy and meaningful understanding of digital health

Ethical and transparent governance practices

The BioMed-AI Forum, travels from country to country, partnering with local organizers to tackle real-world challenges in policy, research, governance, and health systems. Alongside the Forum, the Hub runs global pilot studies with international organizations, research institutions, and healthcare providers, generating evidence to advance digital health literacy and policy in practice.

The Hub is anchored in a transatlantic structure spanning the United States and Europe.

This gives our work dual regulatory insight, complementary scientific cultures, and meaningful contextual diversity through the comparison of different governance structures.

Through this model, global contributors from other regions actively shape the Hub’s research and engagement, ensuring our outputs reflect multiple systems rather than a single national perspective.
