Responsible AI for Health Symposium | Bloomberg Center, Washington, DC.

The Digital Health Literacy & Policy Hub was honored to participate in the Responsible AI for Health Symposium hosted by Johns Hopkins University on February 24, 2026, at the Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC.

The Hub was represented by Stelina Maltezou, the Hub’s operations and outreach advisor, and Dr. Sofia Palmier, Harvard Law School’s Petrie-Flom Center and Hub Task Force 3 Lead, who joined global experts, researchers, and practitioners for a full day of discussions on responsible, equitable, and human-centered AI for health.

As part of the program, our team took part in the Health AI Systems Thinking for Community (HASTC) Workshop, exploring socio-demographic modifiers in large language model decision-making and contributing to the development of practical guardrails for responsible AI adoption. This session also served as a successful first co-working workshop between the Hub and Johns Hopkins’ Center for Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence (CDHAI)–a promising foundation for deeper collaboration.

We extend our appreciation to the Johns Hopkins Center for Digital Health and AI for hosting an insightful and forward-looking event, and to the many partners and stakeholders who engaged with us throughout the day, including colleagues from multilateral organizations and leading academic institutions.

The Hub looks forward to continued partnership-building as we advance our mission at the intersection of digital health literacy, trustworthy AI, and global policy innovation.
