Building Global Research Pathways through BioMed-AI
Our Foundation continues to demonstrate how education, scientific collaboration, and international partnerships can create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of researchers.
What began four years ago as the “BioMed-AI Summer School” initiative, has evolved into a dynamic global network that connects students, researchers, and institutions committed to advancing biomedical artificial intelligence.
During the third edition of the BioMed-AI Summer School, hosted by the International Agency for Research on Cancer/WHO (IARC), valuable discussions and new professional connections led to the establishment of a research internship collaboration between Nanopoulos Foundation and the Centre for Health and Care Innovation Research (CHIR) at City St George’s, University of London.
Through this new partnership, Herbson Maambo, Thaw Thaw Win Win, Ola Al Barazi, Setu Mondol, and Simran Rawat are currently undertaking research internships under the supervision of Professor Divya Srivastava and Professor Charitini Stavropoulou. This collaboration exemplifies our mission to create an ecosystem where education extends beyond individual events, bringing together talented minds, building lasting international partnerships, and transforming ideas into tangible research opportunities.
